The raccoon is a medium-sized mammal native to North America. It is the largest of the procyonid family, having a body length of 16 to 28 in and a body weight of 8 to 20 lb. The raccoon is usually nocturnal and is omnivorous, with a diet consisting of about 40% invertebrates, 33% plant foods, and 27% vertebrates. It has a grayish coat, of which almost 90% is dense underfur, which insulates against cold weather. Two of its most distinctive features are its extremely dexterous front paws and its facial mask, which are themes in the mythology of several Native American tribes. Raccoons are noted for their intelligence, with studies showing that they are able to remember the solution to tasks up to three years later. As with most exotic pets, owning a raccoon often takes a significant amount of time and patience. Raccoons may act unpredictably and aggressively and it can be quite difficult to teach them to obey and understand commands. In places where keeping raccoons as pets is not forbidden, such as in Wisconsin and other U.S. states, an exotic pet permit may be required.

The nautical star is a symbolic star associated with the sea services of the United States armed forces and with tattoo culture. It is usually rendered as a five-pointed star in dark and light shades counterchanged in a manner reminiscent of a compass rose. Often the symbol is used to convey an allegorical meaning. The link to celestial navigation could, for example, symbolize that the wearer's wish to find his or her way home safely, particularly in the case of military personnel. Further, it could express a desire to find one's way in life more generally. Nautical star tattoos are one of the most popular styles of star tattoo.

Yo Ernie... I use electrical stimulation a few times a week in my clinical practice as a physical therapist. There are some significant side effects possible using those units... and burns are among the least worrisome. The FDA has gone after the manufacturers of a few. The use in the picture? Definitely not on the list of approved uses... Your little tadpoles all likely to be swimming in circles with that deal... About sums it up. Have a good one man, Leon
Dianthus caryophyllus is a species of Dianthus, native to the Mediterranean region but its exact range is unknown due to extensive cultivation for the last 2,000 years. It is the wild ancestor of the garden carnation. For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction, though there are many variations dependent on color. Carnations are often worn on special occasions, especially Mother's Day and weddings. In 1907 Anna Jarvis chose a carnation as the emblem of Mother's Day because it was the favourite flower of her mother. This tradition is now observed in the United States and Canada on the second Sunday in May. Ann Jarvis chose the white carnation because she wanted to represent the purity of a mother's love. Light red carnations represent admiration, while dark red denote deep love and affection. Colombia is currently the largest carnation producer in the world.

The bow tie is a type of men's necktie. It consists of a ribbon of fabric tied around the collar in a symmetrical manner such that the two opposite ends form loops. The traditional bow tie, consisting of a strip of cloth which the wearer has to tie by hand, may be known as a self-tie, tie-it-yourself, or freestyle bow tie to distinguish it from these. Bow ties tend to be associated with particular professions, such as architects, finance receipt collectors, attorneys, university professors, teachers, waiters and politicians. Clowns sometimes use an oversize bow tie for its comic effect. Classical musicians traditionally perform in white tie or black tie, both of which are bow ties. Bow ties are also associated with weddings, mainly because of their almost universal inclusion in traditional formal attire. Although the necktie is more prominent in today's society, being seen at business meetings, formal functions, schools, and sometimes even at home, the bow tie is making a comeback with fun-formal events such as dinner, cocktail parties and nights out on the town.
The domestic cat, or housecat, is a small, usually furry, domesticated, carnivorous mammal that is valued by humans for its companionship and for its ability to hunt vermin and household pests. Cats have been associated with humans for at least 9,500 years, and are currently the most popular pet in the world. Owing to their close association with humans, cats are now found almost everywhere in the world. Although cat ownership has commonly been associated with women, a 2007 Gallup poll reported that men and women were equally likely to own a cat. The ratio of pedigree/purebred cats to random-bred cats varies from country to country. However, generally speaking, purebreds are less than 10% of the total population.
From 1939 to 1945, the largest conflict the world has ever known raged on relentlessly. Beginning in Europe, before taking in Asia, Africa, America and the Pacific, World War Two saw over 60 million deaths and countless lives blighted. Bloodshed had never been seen on such a scale before. Even World War I — whose fatalities numbered 35 million — did not witness the same level of sheer destruction, meted out on all sides, throughout the early 1940s. What followed are the bloodiest battles of World War II — a startling reminder, if one were needed, that war can indeed be hell.
