Looking back at the 2008 elections, I think everyone was pretty clear on just how fucking dumb Sarah Palin was because every time she opened her piehole, she gave a us a nice demonstration. But Joe Biden? He followed Mark Twain's advice and snuck under the radar. Biden is stealth-stupid. Because if you follow the Vice President's advice, I PROMISE YOU that you will go to fucking jail. No passing Go, no collecting $200. Just directly to muthafuckin jail. That fucking guy is about as useless as coffee table books that didn't sell.

In case you hadn't noticed, the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue hit newsstands this week. And the big news is that, for the second year in a row, the cover girl is none other than the ridiculously gorgeous Kate Upton. Now, I don't know about you, but when I found out Kate Upton had made the cover again, I wondered how many models had made the cover more than once, let alone two years in a row. So I looked it up and found that Kate is the 13th two-time SI Swimsuit cover girl. Who are the others? Well, wouldn't you know it, there's a list! Funny how that works. Anyway, take a look. You won't regret it. LONG LIVE KATHY IRELAND.

If you're into special airplanes even a little, here is a video I'm sure you'll enjoy if you haven't seen it. These guys do a remarkable job getting their aircraft back on the ground with a minimal amount of damage. It could have very easily gone the other way. Also, notice early in the video there is a sequence showing a F-111 dumping fuel with the afterburners on lighting up the night sky. Mike

Few things demonstrate our mastery of the natural world better than nuclear power -- the godlike ability to dig certain elements out of the ground, split their atoms, and use them to power our homes and/or kill a billion people. But then, after decades of trying to perfect safe and easy nuclear power, scientists discovered that a fully operational nuclear reactor had been safely chugging away under the West African dirt, long before humans came along. This sounds like something that would turn up in an outlandish documentary about stuff built by aliens, but the most remarkable thing about it is that the Oklo mine reactor in Gabon is completely natural. Back in the 1970s, the French were mining uranium out of Gabon when they came upon the strange discovery that what they were digging up was depleted uranium (the waste from a nuclear plant) and even plutonium which doesn't (otherwise) exist in nature. This reactor, assembled by nature due to random chance, generated about 100 kilowatts of electricity, got hot enough to boil off nearby groundwater, and consumed more than five tons of uranium before it shut itself down millions of years ago. Somehow, all of the elements just fell together to form a naturaly balanced, self-regulating nuclear plant, and it kept running for 150,000 years.
Hi Ernie, May not have noticed but number 4 in that fbgraphsearch pic, but if you go to the actual FB page, she is really classy with what looks like a white powdery residue on her own melons. Didn't know KFC payed [sic] that much. Mark
