Fernet Stock is a herbal bitters made in the Czech Republic and in Trieste, Italy. It is flavoured with approximately 14 herbs, imported from the Mediterranean and the Alps. Fernet Stock's popularity only increased through the 1960s and 70s, and following the Velvet Revolution, its sales increased dramatically. It is also available in a sweeter form as Fernet Stock Citrus, launched in 1997. The original Fernet is approximately 40% alcohol (Italian version 41%), whereas the Citrus is a lower 30%.

In 1974, Jonathan Ray Banks moved to Los Angeles and performed on stage before picking up bit parts on television. Probably his best-known movie roles are in two films starring Eddie Murphy: 48 Hrs. and Beverly Hills Cop. In 48 Hrs. Banks plays a friend of Nick Nolte/Jack Cates and is killed by Dexter's father, James Remar/Albert Ganz. In Beverly Hills Cop, he plays Zack, the villain who kills the Eddie Murphys's friend before wearing seom of the buffet from the Harrow Club. In the second season finale of Breaking Bad, Banks appeared as "fixer" Mike Ehrmantraut, whose crowing moment in that series many people believe to be Mike's no more half measures speech [some behind the scenes]. But why do I love him so much? Because he's a FUCKING GRAMMAR NAZI, that's why. And just for the record, movie afficianado that I am, I just couldn't remember Jonathan Banks' character in 48 Hrs. But sure enough, fast forward to the 11:00 minute mark and there he is.

The fleur-de-lis is a stylized lily -- in French, fleur means flower, and lis means lily -- or iris that is used as a decorative design or symbol. While the fleur-de-lis has appeared on countless European coats of arms and flags over the centuries, it is particularly associated with the French monarchy in an historical context, and continues to appear in the arms of the King of Spain and the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and members of the House of Bourbon. It remains an enduring symbol of France that appears on French postage stamps, although it has never been adopted officially by any of the French republics. According to French historian Georges Duby, the three petals represent the medieval social classes: those who worked, those who fought, and those who prayed.

Hi Ernie, I've been a fan of GWAR since 1988. Now some brilliant genius has started a petition to try and get the NFL to have GWAR play the boring-ass halftime show! I know it will never happen, but a guy can dream, right? And if you're not familiar with some of their latest works, check out these gems: Official video "Zombies, MARCH!" (Pretty funny!) GWAR on Jimmy Fallon (only they would have the balls to play a song called "Hail, Genocide" in New York, the Jewish capital of the U.S.!) GWAR covers "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas (It shows they are really talented musicians, although they couldn't help themselves and change the lyrics a little bit for the better.) Cheers, Charley in Los Angeles

Ernie,I realize it doesn't really matter since we're not supposed to be looking at the dog, but that's not a short-haired Irish setter. It's a Hungarian vizsla. Promounced "veesh-la" or veezh-la" depending on who you talk to. They're kinda like weimaraners, but they're smaller and red. The red nose is a dead giveaway. My girlfriend's family has always had at least two of them over the years. They're awesome dogs (if that's not redundant). Keep up the great work, especially the things you do for our troops. Looking forward to LBEH this year. Jim

Diet Pepsi is a no-calorie carbonated cola soft drink produced by PepsiCo, introduced in 1964 as a variant of Pepsi-Cola with no sugar. First test marketed in 1963 under the name Patio Diet Cola, it was re-branded as Diet Pepsi the following year, becoming the first diet cola to be distributed on a national scale in the United States. While the U.S. represents the largest single market for Diet Pepsi, it was launched in the U.K. in 1983 and has since become available on a global scale. The beverage composition, flavor variations and packaging varies based on the country of production. In some countries - primarily in Eastern Europe - the product is labeled and sold under the name Pepsi Light. In the UK it is called Pepsi Diet.

If you keep an eye on the college football scoreboard every Saturday, then a couple of crazy numbers probably caught your attention this weekend. The #4 Ohio State Buckeyes destroyed the Florida A&M Rattlers 76-0, and the #7 Louisville Cardinals ripped the Florida International Golden Panthers 72-0. Those scores are flat out ridiculous, and they got me thinking: where would they rank on the list of all-time biggest blowouts in the history of college football?

Pushkin Vodka is a vodka brand in the German spirits group Berentzen, and is named after the Russian national poet Alexander Pushkin . However, the brand has no Russian origin but was only provided from strategic marketing reasons with a Russian name. Original producer was a company King and wiles, which passed into the possession of Berentzen 1990. Produced from a raw material base of cereals, potatoes and molasses, Pushkin vodkais the second largest German vodka.

Something tells me if I were on this quest I'd still be trying to make it to state #2 on my list. But if you are young woman, kinda cute, and have a nice rack it's amazing what you can accomplish. Bret

Hello Ernie, I am a long time reader and probably not much a surprise that I work in the construction industry, I don't have my license but plan on getting one. It is very common for people in the construction industry to have conceal to carry licenses, especially electricians (we have the most to protect), but these guys make every one else look terrible. Thanks and keep up with the steak and cheese! ~Nate

Well not to nitpick but... technically it was only the first guy making us look bad, as the second guy was responding in legitimate self defence. Judicious marksmanship on both sides, though.

Kings of Leon is a Grammy winning American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. The band is composed of brothers Anthony, Ivan, and Michael Followill, with their cousin Cameron Followill. The band's early music was an upbeat blend of Southern rock and blues influences, but it has gradually expanded throughout the years to include a variety of genres and a more alternative, arena rock sound.

Old and busted: drunk dialing. The new hotness -- at least for me -- drunk ordering from Amazon. And if you think it's easy now, just wait until I get your hands on VoiceBuyer, which whill let me access Amazon through simple voice commands. Fuck, I won't even have to get off the couch.

Now, how about a nice chicken dinner, hmmm?
