Cryptocurrency, The Jamaican Bobsled Team and John Candy.

You know I have to be honest, I'm rather proud of myself on this one. At first I was going to ask what fruit juice is this woman drinking, but in a move that would have made Jerry Bruckheimer proud, I zoomed, cropped, rotated an enhanced the UPC code on the bottle, searched for "UPC upc 5 901067 454025" and viola! Turns out it's called Kubus, which is a banana, apple, and peach drink from in Poland. But I'm not too proud to turn down help: the jacket on the bed -- what sports team is that?

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency which operates in a peer-to-peer and decentralized system with no central authority. The first ever cryptocurrency developed was the Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. And up until now, anything you've heard about crypocurrency has been pretty abstract. Whether you've read a news article trying to explain exactly what Bitcoins are, or a few stories about how people are making money trading Bitcoins, chances are you haven't taken the new 21st century currency very seriously. However, so far in 2014, the Bitcoin is getting less abstract and more real pretty much every day. It's no longer just some concept that only a few people get. It's actually starting to work like “real” money. And by that I mean, yes, you can now actually buy things with bitcoins. Like what, you ask? Like lots of things. Just take a look at this list and see for yourself.

Since then, numerous digital currencies have been developed which created varied alternatives to Bitcoins. On January 19, a fundraiser was established by the community to raise $30,000 for the Jamaican Bobsled Team, which had qualified for, but could not afford to go to, the Sochi Winter Olympics; over $30,000 was donated by the second day. Now they're heading to Sochi with over $120,000 — and a dream 12 years in the making. Blue Moon is a part of Tenth and Blake Beer Company, the craft and import division of Chicago-based MillerCoors. Originally called Bellyslide Belgian White, it was created by Keith Villa, a brewer at Coors Field's Sandlot Brewery. The beer is orange-amber in color with a cloudy appearance because it is unfiltered. Blue Moon has a more pronounced orange flavor than many other beers of the style, and also has a slightly sweet flavor.
