LIFE UPDATE: I am moving to Oregon. SECOND LIFE UPDATE: I need to borrow $3.5 million from someone. Railroad ties used to tie railroad rails together to prevent them from pushing apart and being unable to conduct trains safely. Modern trains run on rails secured through welding or much smaller metal ties. Old-fashioned wooden railroad ties are still popular with homeowners, however, who decorate with them both inside and outside. You can repurpose these thick, sturdy boards to give your home a bit of rustic flair.
Charles "Chuck" Barris is an American game show creator, producer, and host. He is best known for hosting The Gong Show and creating The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game. Barris was well known for his run-ins with the censors, bringing in risque acts as bait to allow some of the less risque acts to slip by. In 1978, one of these bait acts, two teenage girls known simply as "Have You Got A Nickel" made their way onto the show after being cleared by the censors, who saw nothing objectionable at the time about their act. The two girls, after walking out onto the stage barefoot wearing shorts and t-shirts, sat down and proceeded to consume their popsicles in a sexually suggestive manner. While they were able to complete their act without being gonged, two of the judges gave them low marks. The third judge, Jaye Morgan, would award them a 10, quipping, "Do you know? That's how I started." She was rewarded with a popsicle from one of the girls before they left the stage. The "Popsicle Twins" skit aired in Eastern time zone markets, but NBC pulled the act from the Central, Mountain, and Pacific airings of the day's episode immediately after it ended; the act was not cut from all the tapes, however, as the Popsicle Twins incident has aired in reruns.
I did some digging around and found this excerpt from Barris' autrobiography which details the incident. And as for those lecherous old man's delights? One source reports this was originally aired in September 1977, the other in 1978. For the sake of easy math, let's assume January 1978, meaning the 15 year old would have been born in 1963 and the older 17 year old, in 1961. That means those fellating lasses just turned 51 and 53, respectively. Keep that in mind the next time you see some "older woman" at the bar! Wait a minute, 53 years old? OMG MAYBE IT'S NIGELLA LAWSON?!?!
Before anyone gets their panties in a twist about Richard Sherman's outburst, get the entire story. He was mic'd up for the game and actually extended his hand to Michael Crabtree after the play, but Crabtree swatted it away like a whiney little bitch. So yeah, go Sherman.
I have new respect for Van Damme. Paul

Turbo Kitty. Huh. But let's get down to brass tacks, gentlemen. If I was informed correctly, the clock is ticking, is that right Mikey? Your wife Judy comes home at ... 9:30am? Is that correct? And I was led to believe that if she comes home and finds us here looking at Turbo Kitty's titties, she wouldn't appreciate it none too much? Alright, that gives us forty minutes to get the fuck out of Dodge. Which if you do what I say when I say it, should be plenty. Now, you've got a girl with huge titties, minus a shirt, on a bed. Take me to her.
Gabriel Drennen's conviction for murder evolved from a dispute with Leroy Hoster, who was a tenant on trailer park property Drennen owned. On May 2, 2010, Drennen went to the trailer Hoster had been staying at to post "no trespassing" signs, following Hoster's failure to pay lot fees. While Drennen was putting up the signs, an unarmed Hoster attacked him, throwing the landlord off the trailer's porch and over a fence, and causing Drennen's head to strike the ground. During the attack Hoster threatened, "I'll Kill you, you son of a bitch." As Hoster was coming over the fence to continue the assault, Drennen drew a 9mm pistol and fired at his attacker, killing him. Following a trial, a jury found Drennen guilty of first-degree murder and assault and battery, and Drennen was sentenced to life in prison. A conviction that was recently overturned with the NRA's assistance. But you know, the NRA is just looking out for gun manufacturers, not everyday gun owners.

Just another reason why I'll never understand why some people are still paying for cable.
