While a completely dead tree is easy to identify, a tree may be in danger even while some of its foliage is still healthy-looking. Take note of any dead branches or limbs and whether or not they are still connected to the tree. Sometimes branches from the top of the tree can break and fall into the lower portions of the tree, where they present a falling hazard. Dead branches and limbs should be removed if they are large enough to cause injury. Deep cracks in the tree's trunk or limbs, a weak spot in a branch union, visible decay in the tree's trunk or large limbs, and trees that lean too far in one direction also pose dangers as these trees or more likely to break or fall.
Over the course of their 26-year history, The Simpsons have pretty much done it all, including predicting the FIFA corruption scandal. Not to be outdone, now The Onion wants in on the action.
I remember learning Roman Numerals when I took Latin classes back in high school, and for whatever reason, they've always stuck with me. The Roman numerals 3-6-9-12, other than being increments of 3, don't seem to have any significant meaning. If perhaps the necklace is backwards the numbers are 8-11-4-3, which still don't seem to be significant. Any ideas?
Remember that scene in Star Wars when the Millennium Falcon comes out of nowhere and saves the day? Now imagine if instead of trying to blow up the Death Star it was a street race between a Porsche 991 GTS and a Nissan 350Z Procharger, and instead of the Millennium Falcon it was a 1980 era Volkswagen Golf.
It looks like that girl is picking up tickets at Duffy Square, located in the northern triangle of Times Square in Manhattan, New York City. It is located between 45th and 47th Streets, Broadway and Seventh Avenue and is well known for the TKTS reduced-price theater tickets booth located there. Greg
I couldn't quite crack this photo challenge from last week, but the two flashing girls were in Austin Texas. I found this picture of them and found the location here. I also found this shot with a very similar sign to the one you posted, but going the opposite way, so I think the actual location is nearby, but unavailable on Street View. Keep 'em coming. Tim
Finding the Backwoods Inn is easy, it's right on Sierra Highway in Santa Clarita, California. But finding where this blue poster came from might present a tiny bit more of a challenge for you.

For you AK fellows, you can scoop up some 30 round Tapco mags for under $6 each. Great to stock up on and save for a rainy day trade? For you AR guys, my advice from personal experience is to avoid all things Thermold and jump right to the Blackhawks for $7.
Finding the stop sign is impossible? Nailed it! Another from the incredible nakid City in France, Cap D'agde. Can't get the correct angle, but move around and can confirm the building in the background, the speed bumps, the AC unit and the satellite dish...just lacking one sexy nude lady in the Google maps view. Ryan
Hey Ernie, The reinforced stop sign that Dirty Isabel is standing next to is in Cap d' Agde, aka "Naked City" in the South of France. Tim
It was a little over a year ago when I posted my view of the lake behind my house. Less than twelve house later, here's the same view only in Silent Hill mode. And yes, I most certainly kept my eye open for the sound of metal dragging on concrete; the telltale sign that Pyramid Head is headed your way. Also, rumor has it that Microsoft is buying the whole franchise from Konami.
In 1681, in partial repayment of a debt, Charles II of England granted William Penn a charter for what would become the Pennsylvania colony. Despite the royal charter, Penn bought the land from the local Lenape to be on good terms with the Native Americans and ensure peace for his colony. According to legend Penn made a treaty of friendship with Lenape chief Tammany under an elm tree at Shackamaxon, in what is now the city's Fishtown section. Penn named the city Philadelphia, which is Greek for brotherly love. Philadelphia is now the largest city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the fifth-most-populous city in the United States. Any idea where this brother is looking for love?
