And Yet Some People Are Still Holding Firm To The Workplace Violence Theory.

Gantry cranes are a type of crane built atop a structure used to straddle an object or workspace. They are also called portal cranes, the "portal" being the empty space straddled by the gantry. The terms gantry crane and overhead crane (or bridge crane) are often used interchangeably, as both types of crane straddle their workload. The usual distinction drawn between the two is that with gantry cranes, the entire structure is usually wheeled, often on rails. Since I find this gantry crane to be of rather unique design, I would like to see what it looks like on Google maps. Show me!

It's been a rough couple of weeks since Lamar Odom basically came back from the dead after he was found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel and hospitalized. Today In Touch has an exclusive interview with Madison Montag, the transgender porn star he had been communicating with before his life-threatening nights at the Love Ranch. She shared their private messages, and then wrote a letter to the Kardashians.

FRIDAY FLICK: It isn't the comet. It's a broom. Imagine you're a race of aliens, right? And, you're looking for a new place to live. Say you're looking for a planet like you and I looking for a new place to live. A new house. So here's Earth. Only it's like this big old house. And, it's kind of polluted, dirty, and smoky. Grease on the walls, soot in the chimney. So, they send in their interstellar housecleaners. Send in their broom. Sweep us all up. That's what this it is, it's a broom. Using our own machines to sweep us right off.

Hi Ernie, Git an infographic here with facts about the film Full Metal Jacket. Any chance you can you link to it? Best Regards, Dave

Hey Ernie. That concrete pumper was a good one. Found it via the Ghana consulate, based on the flag hanging in the background. The lucky bastards are pumping at East 47th and Madison Ave. Streetview still shows their setup! I've got a couple older challenges i haven't given up on yet. cant resist! Ray

Hmmm, here's an interesting one: any idea what Collins we are talking about here? And in order to help you out, here's a zoom and enhance.

If your dream is to go to space but you don't want to go through all the training and paperwork necessary to become an astronaut, there is an alternative that's at least a little more realistic than getting on board a spaceship in the near future. It's the Kameha Grand Zurich Hotel in Switzerland's Space Suite, by German artist Michael Najjar.

Ernie, I've aquired an 1890 berthier carbine and I can't find ammo anywhere. It has the "N" stamped on the barrel so it should take the 8mm x 51 R Lebel round. Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks, Josh

According to our friends at Wikipedia, the Berthier carbine was a French service rifle adopted in 1892, which was chambered in 8x50mmR Lebel and was widely used during the First and Second World War. Gunbroker has some from a couple different sources, offering both military surplus -- remember to clean your rifle immediately after -- and some modern manufacture. And I know your first thought... does 8x50mm = 8x51mm? From what I've read, yes. Plus searched for 8x51mm on Gunbroker yield no results, while that search for 8x50mm yields several results specifically mentioning the Lebel rifle.

As we head into the weekend, a friendly reminder there are still two open challenges on the table: find this train station and then show me where the hell this red roofed building is located.
