Santander Cycles is a public bicycle hire scheme in London, United Kingdom. The scheme's bicycles are popularly known as Boris Bikes, after Boris Johnson, who was the Mayor of London when the scheme was launched. Credit for developing and enacting the scheme has been a source of debate. Johnson has taken credit for the plan, although the initial concept was announced by his predecessor Ken Livingstone, during the latter's term in office. Livingstone said that the program would herald a, "cycling and walking transformation in London" and Johnson said that he "hoped the bikes would become as common as black cabs and red buses in the capital." A study showed cyclists using Santander Cycles are three times less likely to be injured per trip than cyclists in London as a whole, possibly due to motorists giving cycle hire users more road space than they do other cyclists.
"My, my, my!" means something like "Wow. I'm impressed." However, English speakers rarely use "My, me, my!" when they're honestly impressed; more often, they use the phrase to tease someone. For example, if someone in your family usually wakes up late, you can say this when they wake up: "My, my, my, you're up early."
CHALLENGE #1: Patriotism these days is like Christmas; lots of people caught up in a festive atmosphere replete with lights and spectacles, especially on Memorial Day in May, Flag Day in June, and Independence Day in July. Walk down Main Street America and ask one citizen after another what patriotism means and with few exceptions, you'll get a passel of the most self-righteous but superficial and often dead-wrong answers. If America's Founders, the men and women who gave us reason to be patriotic in the first place, could see us now they'd think we've lost our way. But not me, motherfuckers, for I am unapologetically patriotic. So much so in fact, that I'd like to buy a pair of these American flag shorts. Where can I get them and how much do they cost? Plus an additional bonus point if you can show me where she's sitting; you should recognize her by now and at least have an idea where to start looking.
