On May 5th, 2004 at 15:00 at Van Nuys Airport located in California. A B-17 WWII long range bomber was on final approach. As it landed the main gears gave way and flopped to the ground. The airport which is the busiest general aviation airport in the world was shut down for 5 hours till the aircraft was removed. Thanks for the pictures, Kevin and Andreas!
